Using the site
Read it, link to it, quote it with attribution. Do not scrape it wholesale or republish it as your own — we ask outlets for the same courtesy we extend to them.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise that a claim's status reflects what the outlets we read actually said, that sensitive subjects wait for a person, and that corrections stay in public. We do not promise the reporting underneath is correct. Where every outlet repeats an error, we will repeat it too until one of them corrects it. How we work sets out the limits in detail.
Do not rely on it alone
This is a summary of other people's reporting. For anything where being wrong carries real cost — medical, legal, financial, or safety — read the sources we link and take proper advice. A status of confirmed means several outlets agreed, not that we can vouch for it.
Accounts
Your account exists to hold what you saved and what you follow. We may close an account that is used to attack the site or its readers. You can ask for yours to be removed at any time; see privacy.
Changes
When these terms change, the change is dated and the previous version stays available, for the same reason our corrections do.
